Most of us spend years not quite living the life we could. Sometimes circumstances make it hard to make changes, but with the support of a Life Coach to keep you motivated, so much more is possible. Sort out what’s getting in the way of you having the life you really want. Do it now – it’s free to find out more. That’s the first step.

It’s important that you have a clear idea about what Life Coaching is (and isn’t), so take another step and read on…

WHAT IS LIFE COACHING?

It’s got a range of definitions, but I define it as…

A great piece of teamwork between the coach and the client to create and achieve valuable goals, as defined by the client:

  • Coaching is about action, achievement and solving problems.
  • Coaching is a positive and pro-active process.
  • Coaching gets great results, and that’s what clients want in the shortest time possible.
  • Coaching is NOT therapy, counselling, mentoring or advising.

TOP TEN REASONS PEOPLE WANT COACHING

  1. Stress/anxiety/guilt
  2. Relationships
  3. Work/family life mix
  4. Living out your values
  5. Confidence
  6. Parenting Issues
  7. Career or business
  8. Finance
  9. Health/fitness/Image
  10. Personal development

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM A LIFE COACH?

As your coach, I will…

  • Make sure we are right for each other, and if not, I can recommend other great coaches.
  • Listen to you very carefully.
  • Positively affirm the principles of coaching – confidentiality, being non- judgemental, explaining and asking permission to use a particular technique or exercise to motivate you or raise awareness.
  • Look at your values and beliefs that may inhibit your progress.
  • Challenge your comfort zone.
  • Watch for dips in motivation, and boost your confidence.
  • Support you to develop a plan of action, and re-assess it, for each session and to check you are still on track to achieve your overall goal.
  • Set you a simple homework task after each session to keep you focused.
  • Offer you e- mail support between sessions.

WHO AM I?

I am a working parent with 3 children, a wonderful bunch of friends and family and a passion for coaching because it works so well for me and my clients. I also love walking my dog and a Gin & Tonic on a Friday night. If you want to know more about my interests, please click on the links page.

I am a professionally qualified Life Coach trained by The Coaching Academy and my speciality is coaching parents. I follow a professional code of ethics and all our work together is completely confidential. I have regular supervision and I pay a coach to coach me regularly.

WHEN/WHERE/HOW?

To make good use of your time and mine, it’s important we have an introductory session to establish that coaching is what you need, and that you have found the right coach. This is a free 20 minute phone call. We then book in a our first session to contract your goals, how to work on them, and what you’re buying from  me.

A typical coaching package then consists of an introductory call, ( free) then 6 sessions within 2 months, after which we review and you decide how you want to move forward.

PROFESSIONAL FEES AND PAYMENT

These are my usual fees, and please enquire about rates if you are on Income Support.

After our introductory phone call,  I will send you a coaching agreement, which you need to sign and return with your payment.

Payment can be in two installments if required.
