What is life coaching?

WORKING WITH YOU TO MAKE YOUR LIFE BETTER

Most of us spend years not quite living the life we could. Sometimes circumstances make it hard to make changes, but with the support of a Life Coach to keep you motivated, so much more is possible. You have already taken a great step in getting your life into better shape by wanting to find out about Life Coaching. It's important that you have a clear idea about what Life Coaching is (and isn't), so take another step and read on...

You can expect Life Coaching to be:

A great bit of teamwork between the coach and the client to create and achieve your life's goals.

  • Coaching is about action, achievement and solving problems.
  • Coaching is a positive and pro-active process.
  • Coaching gets great results, and that's what clients want in the shortest time possible.
  • Coaching is not therapy, counselling, mentoring or advising.

What can you expect from a life coach?

I will......

  • Positively affirm the principles of coaching - confidentiality, being non- judgemental, listening very carefully, explaining and asking permission to use a particular technique or exercise to motivate you or raise awareness.
  • Make sure we are right for each other, and if not, I can recommend other great coaches.
  • Look at your values and beliefs that may inhibit your progress.
  • Challenge your comfort zone!
  • Watch for dips in motivation, and boost your confidence.
  • Support you to develop a plan of action, and re-assess it, for each session and to check you are still on track to achieve your overall goal.
  • Set you a simple homework task after each session to keep you focused.
  • Offer you e-mail support between sessions.

When / Where / How?

To make good use of your time and mine, it's important we have an introductory session to establish that coaching is what you need, and that you have found the right coach. This is free of charge.

Every client is unique, but on average, four sessions is what suits most people. A typical Coaching package then consists of 5 sessions within 2 months, after which we review and you decide how you want to move forward.

Professional fees and payment

These are my usual fees, and please enquire about rates if you are on Income Support.

The introductory session is free, and then I will send you a coaching agreement, which you need to sign and return with your cheque for four sessions.

Payment can be in two instalments if required.
